Senator Bob Dutton, in cooperation with the California Contractors State License Board, will be hosting a “Scam Stoppers” Town Hall on Friday, March 14 from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm at the Redlands Community Center.

This event will provide information on a variety of topics designed to help safeguard personal information, income and savings.

Representatives from a number of state agencies will be on hand to share information on several topics such as identity theft, insurance fraud, credit card scams as well as automobile and home repair fraud. The agencies include: the Contractors State License Board; the Department of Consumer Affairs; the Bureau of Automobile Repair; the Department of Insurance; the Department of Corporations; the California Public Utilities Commission; the Federal Trade Commission; AARP; and, the Redlands Police Department.

“It is an unfortunate reality that our personal and private information is more vulnerable today than ever before. This Town Hall is designed to assist people, particularly our seniors, by providing useful information that will help prevent them from becoming victims,” said Senator Dutton.

The event will be held at the Community Center, Multi-Purpose Room, 111 West Lugonia, Redlands, 92373.

Although targeted primarily for seniors, the Town Hall is open to all ages. However, seating is limited and we suggest you RSVP by calling the Senator’s District Office at 909-466-4180. You can also call the office if you would like more information.
