WILDFIRE INFORMATION

Map of Southern California Fires
With much of San Diego County under orders to prepare to evacuate due to wildfires, Senator Wyland wants to remind his constituents of the following information:
- Mandatory evacuations are in place for parts of San Marcos, Rancho Santa Fe, parts of Encinitas, and Escondido. Residents will receive reverse-911 calls if they are required to evacuate.
- In the case of evacuation, residents should take with them valuables, important documents (including insurance phone numbers), food and water, and as many belongings as possible.
- If there is time, take date-stamped photographs of your home and its belongings for insurance purposes.
- Always follow the orders of local law enforcement officials.
- If evacuated, the Del Mar Fairgrounds (858-755-1161) are open and ready to receive evacuees. Evacuation points have also been established at San Marcos High School at 1615 W. San Marcos Blvd. (760-290-2200) and Poway Civic Center at 13325 Civic Center Drive (858-668-4570).
- For more information, please call 2-1-1, and be aware that longer delays will occur today.
